Every so often, the creative tide pulls me in an unexpected direction, and I let instinct take the lead. My latest departure from painterly canvases has been an exhilarating dive into something entirely new—collage on wood panels, sealed beneath a glossy, glass-like coat of resin. The result? Inspired by the mesmerizing forms and electric colors of nudibranchs—those impossibly surreal sea slugs—I’ve fallen into awe at nature’s uninhibited genius. Their vivid, alien-like beauty, the intricate interplay of patterns, the sheer audacity of their hues—it all feels like a love letter from the deep.
